This paper deals with an inspection game of Customs and a smuggler during some days. Customs has two options of patrolling or not. The smuggler can take two strategies of shipping its cargo of contraband or not. Two players have several opportunities to take an action during a limited number of days but they may discard some of the opportunities. When the smuggling coincides with the patrol, there occurs one of three events: the capture of the smuggler by Customs, a success of the smuggling and nothing new. If the smuggler is captured or no time remains to complete the game, the game ends. There have been many studies on the inspection game so far by the multi-stage game model, where both players at a stage know players’ strategies taken at the previous stage. In this paper, we consider a two-person zero-sum single-shot game, where the game proceeds through multiple periods but both players do not know any strategies taken by their opponents on the process of the game. We apply dynamic programming to the game to exhaust all equilibrium points on a strategy space of player. We also clarify the characteristics of optimal strategies of players by some numerical examples.  相似文献

Magnetic properties of fulleropyrrolidine adducts with two stable nitroxide radicals (2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-1-oxyl, TEMPO) were studied in toluene solution by continuous-wave time-resolved (TR) and pulsed electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy in the ground and photoexcited states. Four isomers of the bisadduct,trans-1,trans-2,trans-3, and equatorial forms, having the second pyrrolidine ring at different [6-6] bonds were synthesized. In the ground states, the exchange interaction between two TEMPOs is so small that the spin state of the bisadduct is a doublet in nature. By means of spectral simulations of the EPR spectra in frozen solution at 70 K, the upper limit of the exchange interaction was estimated to be 5 MHz for thetrans-1 andtrans-2 and 10 MHz for thetrans-3 and equatorial isomers. The simulation was also made to determine relative positions of the two TEMPO groups with respect to the pyrrolidine ring. Photoexcited states of the bisadducts with excitation of the 532 nm laser pulse were studied in frozen toluene solution at 5–100 K by using two-dimensional (2-D) pulsed nutation EPR and TREPR. The spin multiplicity of the excited state was determined by the nutation frequency. All of the four bisadducts showed strong exchange couplings between two TEMPOs and fullerene triplet3C 60 * , resulting in the generation of the excited quintet and triplet states. The excited triplet states have been observed and assigned for the first time in strongly coupled triplet-radical systems. The zero-field splittings of the quintet state determined from the 2-D nutation EPR spectra were analyzed as the sum of the spinspin interactions among the three paramagnetic centers, two TEMPOs and3C 60 * . On the basis of these analyses, the spin distribution on the3C 60 * part and the geometry of two TEMPOs are discussed.  相似文献

Experimental observations on stationary striations in the positive column of xenon discharge are reported. Stationary striations are observed when two ionization waves exist simultaneously in the positive column at low pressure and high current region. These stationary striations are caused by nonlinear interference of two backward ionization waves of which frequencies are either equal or are in the ratio 1:2. The spatial intervals for the striated pattern are equal to the reciprocal of the difference between the wave-numbers of two ionization waves.  相似文献

New types of macrocyclic compounds, deltaarenes, are prepared. The compounds were readily synthesized in three steps from an arenedithiol and benzoquinone, and the yields of the macrocyclization reaction reached up to 40% under high dilution conditions. X-ray crystallographic analysis revealed that the macrocycle has a relatively rigid trimeric structure with a unique triangular hole, the size of which was approximately 11?Å along each side. NMR data suggests that the ring has a C3-symmetric structure. The X-ray analysis showed that the hole is large enough to capture one molecule of chlorobenzene. Use of a variety of dithiols allowed the synthesis of different types of deltaarene derivatives. MO calculations showed that the hole size depends on the dithiol unit. Deprotection of the twelve methoxyl groups was easily achieved by treatment with BBr3 and yielded the free-OH deltaarene derivative.  相似文献

Recent advances made in the area of amorphous and nanocrystalline alloys exhibiting high saturation inductions are reviewed. A new chemical composition was identified that achieves a saturation induction of 1.64 T in an iron-based amorphous alloy. This alloy, when used in electrical transformers, shows a much improved performance over the existing amorphous alloy. Nanocrystalline FeCoCuNbSiB alloys are found to have saturation induction levels reaching 1.7 T. These materials are suited for use in sensors and inductors carrying large currents. Some of these nanocrystalline alloys show a BH squareness ratio exceeding 90%, which can be utilized in pulse power devices. Recent developments in the applications of these materials are also pointed out.  相似文献

A numerical simulation shows that by using electronic equalizers 1 bit/s/Hz spectral efficiency can be attained with the same signal quality as a 0.8 bit/s/Hz system. Waveform distortion due to optical band-limiting is corrected with nearly 3 dB improvement of the Q-penalty.  相似文献

A simple procedure for the perfluoroalkylation of the aromatic ring of phenols under mildly basic conditions is described. Treatment of a variety of phenols with perfluoroalkyl iodide in the presence of the radical initiator V-70L and Cs2CO3 provided the corresponding perfluoroalkylated products in moderate to good yields. Generally, the reaction proceeded smoothly at room temperature to yield regioselectively perfluoroalkylated products.  相似文献

Most bacterial biosynthetic gene clusters (BGCs) are “silent BGCs” that are expressed poorly or not at all under normal culture conditions. However, silent BGCs, even in part, may be conditionally expressed in response to external stimuli in the original bacterial habitats. The growing knowledge of bacterial membrane vesicles (MVs) suggests that they could be promising imitators of the exogenous stimulants, especially given their functions as signaling mediators in bacterial cell-to-cell communication. Therefore, we envisioned that MVs added to bacterial cultures could activate diverse silent BGCs. Herein, we employed Burkholderia multivorans MVs, which induced silent metabolites in a wide range of bacteria in Actinobacteria, Bacteroidetes and Proteobacteria phyla. A mechanistic analysis of MV-induced metabolite production in Xenorhabdus innexi suggested that the B. multivorans MVs activate silent metabolite production by inhibiting quorum sensing in X. innexi. In turn, the X. innexi MVs carrying some MV-induced peptides suppressed the growth of B. multivorans, highlighting the interspecies communication between B. multivorans and X. innexi through MV exchange.  相似文献
